Our story
INSIDE was founded in Hong Kong in 1997 to sell handcrafted homeware you could not find on a high street. Nearly thirty years later that is still the whole idea. We buy from independent makers and small workshops rather than from factories, which means much of what we sell is made by hand, in small runs, and is often one of a kind.
The Singapore shop opened at Cluny Court and carries a range overlapping with, but not identical to, our three Hong Kong shops. Prices here are in Singapore dollars.
What we sell
Dining and tableware, including Portuguese stoneware, glassware, cutlery, and block-printed and linen tablecloths, runners, napkins and placemats. Home accessories, including hand-embroidered cushions, quilts, dohars and throws, rugs, vases, lamps and lanterns, storage, photo frames and scented candles. Bed, body and bath. Block-print fashion, pashminas, scarves, bags and jewellery. A small children's range, and gift edits by recipient and by price.
How we buy
Most of the range is made in small workshops in India, Portugal, Morocco, Sweden and Vietnam. Textiles are hand block-printed or hand-embroidered using techniques that take longer than printing them by machine. Ceramics are thrown and glazed by hand. We go and see the workshops, and we buy in quantities small enough that a piece can be discontinued when the maker moves on.
The practical consequence for you is that stock is limited, colours vary slightly between pieces, and a line that sells out does not always come back.
Singapore Toile
Singapore Toile is our own fine bone china collection, decorated with Singapore landmarks and icons old and new. It runs across mugs, plates, teaware, a scented candle and matching linen tea towels, with gift sets. We designed it and we are the only shop that sells it. If you want a Singapore gift that is not a fridge magnet, start there.
Inside Living, our own label
Inside Living is the largest single range in the shop. It is designed in-house rather than bought in, and covers table linen, quilts, cushions, ceramics, candles, bath and body pieces and block-print fashion.

Delivery and collection
Local delivery within Singapore is free on orders over SG$200, and SG$20 below that. Same-day delivery is SG$30 with a 4pm cut-off. Furniture delivery is SG$30, plus SG$5 per floor where there is no lift. Collection from Cluny Court is free, ready within one to three business days.
